As the use of paper mail has declined, email has grown to be the dominant means of written inter-personal communications both at work and for personal use.

But alongside that it also offers a wide range of other uses to business, not-for-profit, charities, and government organisations - through structured email marketing.

That can include applications such as newsletter distribution, charity appeals, club membership subscriptions, training course distribution, local roadworks updates, and more.

And with the widespread growth in the use of smart phones and handheld devices - use of email marketing is set to increase.
